Steve McQueen-inspired striped t-shirt by 66 Clothing (image credit: Mod Shoes)
It sold out in a matter of days last year, so it’s good to see the return of this Steve McQueen-inspired striped t-shirt by 66 Clothing.
This t-shirt first appeared in August last year, and stock was snapped up within a week. I can see stock flying out this time, too, especially with talk of a summer heatwave in the UK.
Of course, anything associated with Steve McQueen tends to be popular. Decades after his death, he’s still the epitome of cool—and I suspect always will be.
I’ve featured various McQueen items in the past, but the likes of the Persol folding sunglasses, the Tag Heuer Monaco watch, or the Sanders and Sanders Playboy boots tend to be on the pricey side. With this top, you can get an affordable piece of the McQueen look, which is a big selling point.
Based on a garment worn by the great man himself (as you can see above), the t-shirt has a black background with a distinctive white stripe across the front and sleeves. It’s finished with a retro crew neck. It’s made of soft cotton and has a maker’s tag in the collar and subtly on the hem.
All sizes are currently available, and if you want one, the price is £44.
