A new take on a classic. These Mr Porter x Baracuta G9 Harrington Jackets are available now in three suede finishes.
What’s the difference? Not a great deal in truth. It’s essentially all about the construction.
First up, each one is made in a small workshop by Italian craftsmen in collaboration with premium clothing retailer Mr Porter and is described as ‘the celebration of quality and attention to detail’. Although I would hope that’s the case for every Baracuta Harrington, especially in light of the ever-increasing price tags.
Each of the jackets is made of a ‘very soft to the touch’ suede, which should mean some added warmth this time of the year. There’s another difference too. A lack of Fraser tartan.
OK. not a complete lack of it. There is a ‘rhombus shape’ of it placed directly under the Baracuta label. But insureds of going for the full lining in it, this collaboration goes for a plain cotton twill.
Outside of that, the jacket is the Harrington you know and love, with the umbrella-effect yoke, double logo zipper and two-button collar closure, as well as the buttoned pockets and elasticated cuffs and waist.
As I said, there are three colour options here for a finish, all of which are shown here. If any of them catches your eye then you are looking at £695.
