Do you fancy looking like a 1960s James Bond this summer? You need one of these 1960s archive Viyella linen shirts.

It’s the kind of shirt made for somewhere hot and stylish in the mid-20th century. And, of course, it’s the kind of shirt James Bond might have gravitated towards. In fact, he did in one of his movies.

If you look at Thunderball in 1965, you’ll see Bond (or Sean Connery playing James Bond) wearing shirts of this style, particularly one in pink linen, during his first meeting with Domino. Similar shirts in different colours were also featured in the movie.

It’s a look that’s very much of its era, and Viyella has now brought it out of its archive for the summer months. It’s ideal if you have somewhere warm booked this summer. Although I suspect you’ll probably catch the eye at the pub or the supermarket wearing one of these, too.

Viyella has three colours of the short-sleeve linen shirt on the shelves. Each one is made from a mix of cotton and linen and has a revere collar with a rouleau loop detail, double breast pockets, side vents, and a straight hem. It also has what’s described as a ‘tailored’ fit.

I suspect it’s a limited run, so don’t hang about if you want one. £70 is the price.
