UK-made and not too pricey, the corduroy Harrington jackets by Community Clothing are available in three colours.

I have mentioned Community Clothing in the past, and I like what they do, both in terms of clothing and with regard to the wider fashion industry. In terms of the latter, Community Clothing works with UK factories and textile companies to keep them busy with long-term work for timeless clothing designs. Classics, if you like.

Creating clothing in the UK, keeping jobs in the UK and keeping money in the local economy. And all without charging a fortune for the finished product. Pretty much how things used to be before fast fashion.

The company does a classic Harrington already for similar money, but not many places do a cord Harrington. Baracuta sometimes does – but it comes in a lot pricier than this one.

This is described as an easy-fit classic Harrington, which strips out a couple of details you would associate with Baracuta (umbrella back and button pockets, for example) but keeps the look and feel, as well as the button collar.

It also adds in some quality craftsmanship but still keeps the price down for all three of the colours available. Those being stone, navy and olive.

How much? £145 for one of these, which seems reasonable enough for me. Check the size guide, but sizes are from XS all the way to XXL.
