A new season and a new finish. That’s the Baracuta G9 corduroy Harrington Jacket, which is available now.
Well, I say new finish, but the cord Harrington was actually introduced a couple of winters back. This is the latest take on it, brought back for the colder months in a selection of new shades. So if you are feeling the chill, have a look at this one.
That’s because this version of the Mod and ivy league classic is designed specifically for the colder weather. Like last year’s model, the cord jacket has Thermore Ecodown padding. So a slightly chunkier jacket and a distinctly warmer jacket. Not that you will obviously notice the padding. This Harrington still has the unmistakable inner lining of Fraser Tartan, which should get the nod of approval of the purists.
The jacket is also in an authentic fit, which again should be right up the street of classic Harrington lovers. As for the finish, again the same as last year, which is a soft touch needle cord velvet, but in a wider choice of shades. Take your pick from all the colours you see here, which are navy, port, dark forest and cognac for reference.
The design itself has everything you expect of a G9, which means a zip front, two-button collar, slant button pockets, elasticated waist and cuffs, umbrella back vent, and as I said earlier, the Coolmax Fraser Tartan lining.
Definitely a smart and sensible option over winter and a jacket you can look after and bring out for a few winters to come if you look after it. This is a design that simply doesn’t age. £335 is the price of the corduroy Harrington Jacket, which is a little up on the price of last year. All the sizes you would expect too.
