Claret and blue Adidas Originals Trimm Star returns (image credit: Size? website)
A colour combination that always goes down a storm – so expect the claret and blue Adidas Originals Trimm Star to sell fast.
I say this from experience. One of the most popular features on the site, week on week, is the Adidas Gazelle in claret and blue. For fans of certain clubs, it’s the shoe and colour to own. West Ham, Aston Villa, Burnley and more too. But this particular combo doesn’t come around all that often.
And it’s unusual for this style. The two colours here (there’s a black and pumpkin too) are a reversal of the original colours for this design. There was a blue and claret back in 2018, as well as a pumpkin edition too. So this time out, for the Size? exclusive celebrating 25 years of the retailer, the colours have been flipped.
As you might know, the Trimm Star dates back to 1971. It was a lightweight, all-rounder of a shoe, produced as part of a German sports initiative introduced by the government to get the population fit and active. You would have been pretty stylish in these as well.
The design is largely unchanged since the dawn of the 1970s, with a premium suede construction, and the trademark ghilly loop lace fastenings and tonal tongues. Gum soles and gold foil branding, as you would expect.
Priced at £100, you can get a pair by entering the online draw now at Size?, or you can wait until Friday and pick up what’s left on the Size? website.
