Pretty much perfect for the upcoming spring months is this Beams Plus long-sleeve stripe knit polo shirt.

And Beams Plus always does this kind of stuff well. A good-fitting item that’s made with the kind of quality control you only seem to get from Japanese makers these days. No, they don’t come cheap. But I’ve still got Beams Plus shirts from some years back going strong and still looking good.

I say good for spring because, despite being a long sleeve, these are cotton polo shirts rather than being than being a thicker wool. So good underneath something while it’s still cold, and when the sun beats down harder, you can wear it without the jacket.

As for the design, this is a three-button polo in a choice of brown or blue, with the back a plain colour, along with the arms, while the front has stripes in different shades of the same colour. Very nice, very 1960s.

That’s it, really. Check the sizing, as, from previous experience; Beams Plus tends to be quite a slim fit. I like that, but it doesn’t work for everyone.

If it works for you, these are just in, selling for £145. Hopefully, the rest of the Beams Plus range will land soon too – and keep this vintage vibe going.
