If you loved the original yellow version of these (which are still available), you might also fancy the Adidas Mexicana Prototype trainers.

Personally, I loved this reissue from a few months back. It’s everything good about classic Adidas, although the colour might well have been a deciding factor for some. If yellow doesn’t do it for you, then it might have been a no-go.

So how about green? I think that’s pretty much the only difference here, except perhaps the ‘Mexicana’ name on the side, which is omitted for this version for some reason.

The new version is essentially what’s described as a ‘reimagining’ of the original 1968 sports shoe and a design introduced for the Olympics in Mexico City that same year.

The same shoe, but with ‘modern technology for classic comfort’ built in. And no name on the side. And green instead of yellow. I think that’s pretty much it. Still a great-looking shoe. Only in a different colour.

Just out and available in all the sizes you need, the Adidas Mexicana Prototype trainers are yours for £85.
