Not the original colourway for this reissue, but I do like the look of the Adidas London trainers in black and green.

The original colour was red and black, and that was last reissued back in 2019. But the London has appeared several times since in different shades.

It’s not surprising, really. This 1970s City Series shoe is something of a classic and typical of the look and style of the City Series trainers of that era. So yes, the colour changes, but the appeal for anyone with a love of old school Adidas doesn’t really.

Especially if you have room in your wardrobe for a set of shoes in black suede. Not just black suede – I think the bold green contrasting detail really makes these jump out. A Step up from some recent London reissues.

According to the retailer, this is a ‘velvety black suede’ upper with ‘grassy green leather’ for the stripes, the heel and the section around the laces. All of which sits on a ‘grippy’ gum rubber sole, finished off with Trefoil branding at the tongue and inside.
