Adidas Originals retro golfing sweatshirts (image credit: Adidas)
You don’t have to play golf to appreciate these Adidas Originals retro golfing sweatshirts. But if you do, all the better.
The sweatshirts are part of an ever-growing and I have to say, very appealing retro golf range by Adidas. I don’t play golf, but with the growing amount of decent clobber and accessories around for the sport, I’m starting to get tempted. I quite liked those Liam retro golfing shirts by Malbon, a label that does a lot of retro knits for the golf course.
The tops here are part of the same range that brought us the retro Boston golfing bag not long ago. That was a popular find and I suspect these will be too. Proper throwback tops.
Based on the classic Adidas tracktops of the 1970s and 1980s (Adidas knows kids who grew up then will be all over these), there are three designs to choose from. A version in blue with contrast blue detailing, as well as a take in green contrasted with white.
The third? That’s a bit of an Adidas ’80s throwback, with the argyle print on the front bringing back the tennis wear of Ivan Lendl back in the day – a design that carried over onto the terraces too.
All the designs are pretty much the same, a golfing sweatshirt with a quarter zip stand-up collar, as well as ribbed cuffs and hem plus a couple of front pockets.
All are available online now, priced between £90 and £100.
