Drizzler jacket by Real Hoxton (image credit: Real Hoxton)
A vintage design returns for the 21st century, courtesy of the new Drizzler jacket by Real Hoxton.
We all know the Harrington jacket, which is of similar vintage and a design that hasn’t really gone away. But the Drizzler jacket is a lesser-seen piece, which is a shame as it’s good-looking and perfect as a spring jacket.
The Real Hoxton version is based on the 1940s original, but with a few tweaks to make it their own.
This take is made from 100 per cent premium cotton. The jacket is unlined and lightweight, with raglan sleeves, back pleats, and a straight hem.
You have probably noticed the spread collar, which is finished with a tab button fastening. There’s also a YKK metal zip front closure, angled welt pockets with panel detailing, button-adjustable cuffs, and side waist tabs.
It’s a well-thought-out design, and as I said, it’s the kind of old-school jacket that works perfectly at this time of year. £95 and all sizes available, although this is a limited run.
