As ‘old school’ as they come, these issues of the Adidas Bermuda trainers in red and purple really do catch the eye.

It brings everything together. A classic Adidas silhouette with colours that wouldn’t have looked out of place on the original shoe. Not that they are original shades.

You might recall the relaunch of these, which were part of the much-loved Island Series (originally dating back to the 1970s), way back in 2018. I think the original shade was ‘sand’, but this shoe has seen so many colourful reissues since that I’ve lost track.

But I know one thing. If you like your Adidas simple and screaming of a bygone era, then you will love these.

The burgundy red is the winner for me, It just jumps out at you with its off-white detailing. But the purple isn’t to be sniffed at either.

As I said, detailing is minimal and all the better for it. The suede uppers, serrated 3-Stripes, a slight overlay on the toe, contrasting heel and some vintage branding on the tongue. The sole unit is pretty much what you would expect of a shoe of this vintage.

Just out and already selling fast, the Bermuda reissue is yours for £85.
