Notice the drop in temperature? You might feel it less if you are wrapped up in an Anglozine Jook zip cardigan.

Looks good and is probably one of the most functional items you will pick up this year. Why? Well, this is knitwear that doesn’t just look like it might keep you warm. It does keep you warm. Yes, it’s an investment buying one, but I’ve had mine for a few years now, and each year, when it gets really cold, this cardigan earns its keep.

The look is a high selling point, too, obviously. A 1960s-inspired cardigan and a design that was fairly common half a century or more back. But much less so now. In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone do a knit quite like this.

Chunky construction, tipping to the collar and cuffs, full zip and a chest pocket. That’s pretty much what you get in a choice of shades.

But it is the actual construction of the cardigan that seals the deal. Made in Italy from 100 per cent Shetland will, this is the layer you need when the temperatures drop. I was at a match the other day in one, and it certainly kept the chill out that evening.

A limited edition, too, in each of the colours, so not too many will be around when you have yours on. Fancy it? Each one sells for just over £200. As I said, not cheap, but this is the investment you need this winter and numerous winters to come. Note also the variations, with a shorter zip and a crew neck.
