This is a design that hasn’t been around for quite some time. The return of the Adidas Triest City Series trainers.

This is, I believe, a ‘proper’ reissue rather than being confined to one retailer, but as ever, it’s almost impossible to gauge how much stock is going to be available on the day of launch. We only really find out when the shoes hit the shelves.

Yes, some retailers are doing draws for them already. But I have seen that a lot recently and the stock hasn’t been in short supply when the designs have landed. Saying that, if you don’t want to take a chance, you might want to enter a draw. I’ll be sitting tight this time, but I might well miss out.

And it’s a great shoe. One you probably don’t want to miss out on. A lesser-seen City Series shoe that actually dates back to 1978. So some miles on the clock for this one. Where is Triest? It’s in the northeast of Italy.

This reissue has some subtle updates to the shoe first seen all those years ago, including the lateral labelling changing from metallic to dark green, for example. But nothing huge.

What you do get is a classic look made up of leather in a cream shade, which is contrasted by brown on the 3-Stripes and the heel. A rubber gum sole, of course, plus crinkled tongues with Trefoil crested branding and a suede overlay on the toe.

The retailer Size? is having a draw if you want to sign up there. Or you can wait until later this month (I’ll confirm the date when I have it) for a pair for £85.
