Sadly you’ll have to wait for one of these, but with summer coming I had to mention these wonderful Madras Harrington jackets by Connection Knitwear.
They are produced by Connection, a label I have mentioned in the past and one I have purchased from in the past. The label, run by Daniele Savare, specialises in bringing back classic looks from the past, particularly the 1960s.
All are made by artisan makers and all in limited numbers. So quality and exclusivity. The downside is that stock comes and goes and when it comes to one of these Harrington jackets, it has currently gone. Well, for now anyway.
It is available on backorder, so if you are willing to wait, you can do just that and get one…hopefully…in time for the warmer weather,
If you do get one you’ll certainly catch the eye as these are wonderful and if you have a thing for the ivy league look, these will be right up your street in any of the three shades on offer.
Very much a summer jacket, this Italian-made piece is produced from authentic Madras cotton and finished with ‘period-correct’ zip and buttons. But note that it is an unlined jacket, so it really is one for when the temperatures rise.
As for price, you would expect that to be higher due to the nature of the product and you would be right. €365, which works out at around £316 at today’s rate. Considering it is over £300 for a Baracuta Harrington jacket is over £300 these days, that doesn’t seem excessive.
