You can’t go far wrong with the knitwear at Uniqlo, and the budget lambswool turtleneck jumpers are well worth a look.

Nothing spectacular here; it’s just a job well done. Warm winter knits of good quality without costing a fortune. Uniqlo can be a bit ‘fashion’ at times these days, but when it comes to knitwear, it always does a solid job.

Like all Uniqlo ranges, it is always worth checking the sizing as some designs can come up a little on the large side. For me, shirts always come up large. Knitwear is less so from personal experience, but always wise to check before you purchase, as the promo shots hint at something on the baggier side. I’ll be nipping out to a store soon to try one out, so I’ll update when I know for sure.

As for this particular item, you can pick from even shades, which is no bad thing. And the design? Well, it is what it is – a turtleneck sweater made of lambswool to keep you warm as those temperatures drop and the kind of thing people might describe as a ‘wardrobe staple’. Formal or informal, it works on both fronts.

Huge range of sizes, too. Everything from XXS through to 3XL. I can’t imagine many people not fitting in there somewhere.

Fancy one? You can buy it online or in a local store in various colours for £34.90, which seems like a bit of a bargain compared to the labels out there.
