Those roots are, of course, in Manchester. As you might know, the company started up in Manchester and made its iconic jackets there for many years. Bolton too, as I recall a factory making Baracuta clothing just down the road from my mum’s house when I was a small boy.
No more sadly, but Baracuta and photographer Jacopo Benassi have revisited the city and some of its iconic locations to showcase some of the pieces from the upcoming collection of coats and jackets. Everywhere from the Northern Quarter, to the historic Salford Lads Club (which isn’t in Manchester before anyone says it, but you get the idea). After that photo of The Smiths, it will always be connected to the city’s cultural heritage.
If you want any, the new stock is already dripping through. Keep an eye on the Baracuta website for the full range.
