We're big fans of Rapha, but the cost of the high-end / classic cycling gear is often the issue. Not so at the Rapha sample sale in London.
It is what you expect, the usual mix of end of range, items that never made it to the shelves for some minor reason or other, you know the kind of thing. But all heavily discounted, if you are willing to dig around and find the right size.
It takes place on Friday 29th July and Saturday 30th July at The Loading Bay, Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1 6QL. You probably want to get down there early for the best items.

At first glance, a decent-looking polo, but this is actually the Simone cycling jersey by Cafe du Cyliste.
Mixing some modern-day style with functionality for the modern-day cyclist, the Simone is made of a lightweight Merino fabric with anti-odour and anti-moisture properties. That collar lifts to show a reflective band for night cycling and there's a pocket at the back, plus one for your phone/MP3 player, with a route through for your headphones. Clever.

We don't feature many football shirts on here (for good reason if you look around), but we're rather taken with the newly-unveiled Nike France away football kit.
The kit, as you might have worked out, is inspired by a French classic, the Breton top, always a favourite on this particular site. It's not a rugged cotton top though, this one is apparently made of a lightweight fabric featuring Nike Dri-FIT technology and engineered ventilation systems, coupled with an 'ergonomic cut' and 'soft cotton' feel.

We love the high-end cycling gear produced by Rapha, but let's be honest, most of it doesn't come cheap. Unless of course, you happen to be at the Rapha sample sale in London.
The sale promises discounted end of line stock, seconds and samples, all of which is yours to browse at Shop 25, Hanbury St. London E1 6QL on Friday 28th January 10am – 6pm, Saturday 29th January 10am – 6pm and finally, Sunday 30th January 12pm – 5pm. But you probably want to get there on the Friday.
