It's a label that always tends to provoke strong reactions, both good and bad. If you happen to be more the former than the latter, the Stone Island: Archivio '982 - '012 book by Simon Foxton and Nick Griffiths is likely to you have you breaking out in a cold sweat.
This one has come out of nowhere and as such, I've not had chance to get my hands on a copy yet. But on the face of it, the Preppy: Cultivating Ivy Style book by Jeffrey Banks and Doria De la Chapelle is well worth checking out for fans of the look.
If the name Graham Marsh sounds familiar, it's because the name was associated with another book we have featured on here, The Ivy Look. Now he's back co-authoring another book on similar ground - Hollywood and the Ivy Look by Tony Nourmand and Graham Marsh.
Now this is quite interesting. Remember the Take Ivy book by Teruyoshi Hayashida, which was reissued last year? Well, there's a sequel, going by the name of the Take 8 Ivy book by Teruyoshi Hayashida and Shiro Itoh.
The original book was a unique collection of photos of ivy league students in 1965. This follow-up is apparently a collection of images and text from the eight ivy league institutions of the USA during the period 1965 - 1985. if you're into your ivy league styling, it's one to pick up.
Finding one is the hard bit, as it's described as both limited and hard to find. Thankfully Superdenim has copies, but you'll need to pay out £40 to get one of these imported books. Note also that the text is a mix of English and Japanese.
