1960s René Lacoste tennis shoe reissued for Lacoste 80th anniversary

Lacoste

I love it when companies do things like this. I mean digging into the archives and coming out with something authentic, something like the 1960s René Lacoste tennis shoe.

It is part of a range produced to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Lacoste. This particular part is the original René Lacoste tennis shoe, which was designed by the man himself in 1963 and to be fair, really has stood the test of time. Its style is in its simplicity.

It uses the original 1963 specification - colour, material and design nuts and bolts. Detailing is minimal, limited to stripes and logo on the heel, with the finished product sold in a special edition box. Limited edition of course, selling for £60.
