It's a label that always tends to provoke strong reactions, both good and bad. If you happen to be more the former than the latter, the Stone Island: Archivio '982 - '012 book by Simon Foxton and Nick Griffiths is likely to you have you breaking out in a cold sweat.

Essentially this is an illustrated history of the label, a whopping 644 pages showcasing the work of designer Carlo Rivetti and his technical outerwear, in as much detail as you would hope and expect. 307 items get the full works, including some of more sought-after pieces from the past - and some that have never been offered for sale.

It comes in a printed carry case and with a foreword from Carlo Rivetti as well as an essay from Italian sociologist and journalist, Francesco Morace entitled ‘Thirty Years of Stone Island and the Challenge Facing New Italian-Style Business’.

All of that weighs in at 6kg and weighs in on your wallet to the tune of £109.
