Max Bill by Junghans stainless steel and leather automatic watch

Maxbill

We haven't featured a watch for a while, so we'll come back with a beauty - this Max Bill by Junghans stainless steel and leather automatic watch.

Yes, the Max Bill you are thinking of, the Bauhaus-trained Swiss modernist artist and designer, as well as a key designer for Junghans, which is where this timepiece comes in.

A lovely understated stainless steel watch, complete with a black leather face, domed cover, white face, luminous hands, a small date window and an automatic self-winding movement.

It's made in Germany, has the designer's signature on the rear and comes in a branded box. Downside? You'll need to find £775 to secure one.
