John Smedley for Umbro Tailored 1948 Team GB Olympic Knitwear
A lot of Olympics merchandise around right now, but we'll wager that the John Smedley for Umbro Tailored 1948 Team GB Olympic Knitwear is about the classiest out there.
The gear is, as you title suggests, based on the kits worn at the last London Olympics back in 1948. Heritage knitwear label John Smedley has joined up with Umbro Tailored to rework the kits for the modern era.
The result is a running vest and track sweater. Sort of. You see, that 'vest' is actually now the Tangeru shirt of Sea Island cotton construction, complete with three buttons, a crew collar, British stripes and a blank panel where the team patch would have been. The sweater is more lightweight, with a ribbed collar and cuffs and a hidden commemorative number in the back.

You should be able to find then at the online stores for both Umbro and John Smedley, plus Present and Selfridges in London. However, as yet, there's no sign of them, so we have no price details. Guessing upwards of the £100 mark though.
