The company was founded in New York in 1972 as a specialist sportswear maker, before moving into the wider 'fashion' market, helped by some big name endorsements back in the day.
The Topstar Ox is a 1975 design, reissued with a premium leather upper, a contrasting solid leather chevron branding on the sides and a textured vulcanised sole. They also have a padded leather lining and woven brand tabs on the tongue and ankle.
