Nigel Cabourn Mallory Jacket

Mall

We love a jacket with a past - and that's definitely the case with the Nigel Cabourn Mallory Jacket.

Here is that past. In 1924 George Mallory went to climb Everest, dressed in a three-piece Military Issue Harris Tweed Suit and a pair of sheepskin boots. He never returned, but he is said to have reached the summit.

In tribute, Nigel Cabourn has remade the jacket worn by Mallory during his ascent on Everest, using bespoke Harris Tweed and with detailing including a button closure throat flap, two front flap pockets, a single chest flap pocket, cotton elbow and shoulder patches and a full cotton lining.

Made in England in extremely small numbers, it sells for £639.
