A slight departure on the classic, but the Gloverall Monty mid-length Duffle Coat is still a winner.

The original Monty, named after the famous wartime field marshall, never goes out of style. Nor will this new version in truth, which has four duffle fastenings as opposed to the original three and a slimmer fit, but still has the same look, as well as the iconic wood and rope duffle fastening. There's also two large front pockets, a single inner pocket, detachable throat flap and adjustable hood opening with pop studs.

Made in England with 90 per cent wool construction, it sells for £249.
