Boutique London A History: King's Road to Carnaby Street by Richard Lester

Boutique

Following on from the excellent King of Carnaby Street book comes another publication looking at the 60s fashion scene - Boutique London A History: King's Road to Carnaby Street by Richard Lester and published by ACC Editions.

The book is a 280-page affair, following the developing fashions and boutiques of the aforementioned streets, with a focus on 30 of their retailers, as well as the clothes and the characters within. So expect pieces on Mary Quant, John Stephen and Ossie Clark, along with Top Gear, His Clothes, Granny Takes A Trip and Mr Fish to name just a few, plenty of illustrations thrown into the mix too - clothes, interiors and shoppers. Indeed, some of the images are pretty stunning.

Hopefully we will host a review ahead of the 30th September shelf date, but you can pre-order now at Amazon, with a price of £21.21.
